PersonligtJoe Knight aka Rangers har precis, som brukligt om man släpper skivor på Olde English Spelling Bee, tidigare släppt ett gäng kassetter. Och precis som alldeles underbara Forest Swords släpper han nu en vinylskiva på just Olde English Spelling Bee. Enligt honom själv så var inspelningen av ”Suburban Tours” den enda ljuspunkten på ett annars mörkt år.
Skivan är inspirerad av en flytt ifrån Dallas till San Francisco, och till en väldigt ensam tillvaro. Skivan som till stor del är instrumental, låter som ett funkigare melankoliskt Ariel Pink. Jag älskar den på samma sätt som jag älskar filmer som Lost Boys, The Goonies, E.T och förortscenerna i Poltergeist om det nu makes any sense. Köp.
